Catfish
Catfishes can be very fun fish to catch. They can be a challenge to fight and they take skill and precision to hook on. The one in the picture above I caught with a spinner-bait called the perch pounder. We fished it slow, near the bottom with just enough speed to make the spinner spin. Most rods cannot handle the stress of a big cat, so make sure your drag is set correctly. Then, once you have the fish in close, net him headfirst. NEVER try to net a fish from behind, it just doesn't work.
Largemouth Bass
The Largemouth Bass is one of the most sought after game fish in America. One of the most trusted largie techniques is a rubber worm rigged on a texas rig. Then you use a jigging motion to bring to worm back. Make sure not to overdo the jigs and let the worm float to the bottom after each jig. You can also use plugs, worms, and live baits.
